Über mich

Servus, ich bin Sophia.

If the mountains are your favourite place, why not get married there?

We all know those special places where we feel at home and can truly breathe. In these powerful spots, our thoughts become clearer, and everything unimportant seems to fade away. Here, we connect with each other and with nature.

What if the mountains are your place of strength and you dream of getting married there? As a wedding photographer living in the Alps, I’m here to give you a smooth landing and guide you through the landscape.

I know the rhythms of the mountains in every season and can find the most beautiful locations. As a wedding photographer in the mountains, I know exactly how to portray your love for each other - and for the nature - in the most authentic way possible. The mountains and nature set the pace, and we follow their lead. Not the other way around!

My life in the Alps

Hochzeitsfotograf Tirol

Sophia in brief

  •  I’m 33 years old and live in Vill, a village 200 meters above Innsbruck, with views of the Nockspitze and Patscherkofel mountains.
  • After completing my masters in Human Movement Sciences, I moved to Kitzbühel in 2014 to “teach skiing for just one winter.” Well, that clearly escalated and I stayed ever since. Now, I enjoy skiing and ski touring in my free time.
  • In 2017, I went on a trip and took a camera with me. That’s how my photography journey began!
  • I'm not afraid of a sporty challenge on my bike. A 500 km ride around the provincial border of North-Holland within 24 hours? Totally doable, right?!
  • I love all the seasons and couldn’t imagine living near the equator.
  • I enjoy listening to music. Right now, I’m hooked on Eefje de Visser, but I always return to London Grammar, Børns, Oscar & The Wolf, The XX, Odesza, Polo & Pan, Son Mieux, Michael Kiwanuka, Glass Animals, Arlo Parks, Sofiane Pamart, and The Black Keys.
  • In 2024/2025, I’ll be training to become a certified Mountain Hiking Guide in Tirol.

Getting married in the mountains

"A beaten path is the route taken by others; your happiness won't be found there."

Photography became my greatest passion

I only discovered this in 2017 when I took a proper camera on a trip. It turned out to be a golden match! Photography helps me see so much more. I’ve learned to play with light, colours, lines, perspectives, contrasts, and shapes. Creativity flows when I look through the lens! With my photography, I aim to bring people and nature closer together, reconnecting these two worlds, as they were always meant to be.

Off the beaten path

I prefer following my own path and keeping an open mind. Entrepreneurship, photography, and maintaining space for creativity are important to me. This allows me to fully support everything I do and give my complete attention to you. Are you choosing the unbeaten patch for you wedding?

The mountain wedding

Getting married outdoors adds a unique touch to a wedding, whether in summer or winter. But a mountain wedding isn’t for everyone. It’s for couples who love adventure, want something a little different, and seek to connect even more deeply with each other. The mountains bring the magic!

For the philosophers among us

“Nature is your talent,” someone once told me. A curious statement, a bit abstract even, but absolutely true - just like nature itself! In nature, everything is interconnected, with a continuous exchange between all living things. And that’s how I view us as humans. We try so hard and strive to achieve so much, but we sometimes forget that we’re part of something much greater. We don’t need to force so much. Life can be lighter, allowing more space for each other and everything around us. By choosing to get married in the mountains, you’ll feel more connected to your partner, your guests, and the natural world around you. Away from the noise of busy life, straight into the moment.

Let's connect!

Does my photography and style resonate with you? I'd love to hear mor about your plans!
