The Kandleralm is a popular place for weddings, and it's easy to see why...! It is located at an altitude of 1,120 meters in the Kitzbühel Alps and offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. During the ceremony, which usually takes place on the small meadow next to the terrace, you get this incredible mountain view. Bianca and Julius also decided to get married in the mountains, and they quickly chose the Kandleralm.
The couple already has their hands full with caring for their young twins, but they still wanted to get married. Or rather: it was precisely because they have such wonderful twins that they wanted to get married. Celebrating love together with the children is even more beautiful!
The advantage of having a wedding at a mountain location is that usually everything happens at the same place. This makes it super relaxed! Bianca and Julius definitely wanted to have their wedding photos taken in the mountains before the ceremony. We found several shady spots around the Kandleralm where we could have some fun. "What should we do with our hands? Should we look at the camera or not?" With a few small instructions, they both knew exactly what to do, which led to great photos!
The joy of the photoshoot was felt during the ceremony as well. Under a beautiful old tree, surrounded by nature and with a view of the mountains, Bianca and Julius exchanged their vows. There was a lot of laughter and sometimes a tear of joy. After the ceremony and the exit, it was time for congratulations and (volleyball) cake!
Since Bianca and Julius both played volleyball at a very high level, many of the guests—who were also volleyball players, with the corresponding heights—were present. As a Dutch woman, I'm often a bit taller than the other women in Austrian, but this time, I definitely wasn't! Nice!
Dear Bianca and Julius, thank you for this wonderful day. It was an honour for me to photograph it, and I hope you often pull out your wedding album to relive the day again and again.
