Natural Wedding Photography was especially important to Erwin and Katrin. They prefer quiet moments and authentic shots that reflect their connection to nature. For the photoshoot, we chose a beautiful spot on the Georgenberg near Schwaz / Stans. On a meadow with yellow flowers and a breathtaking view of the snow-covered peaks, Erwin and Katrin were able to fully enjoy the peace and beauty of nature. Away from the hustle and bustle of other tourist spots, they had the entire area to themselves.
The alpine meadow was the perfect place for the first look. Erwin stood with his back to Katrin, while she slowly approached him. How exciting it must be when you can hear your future wife, but not see her yet?! The tension grew as she finally reached him and turned him around. It was so beautiful! We all had to laugh a bit at this ultra-romantic moment, because although we hadn’t really staged it, the breathtaking landscape made us feel like we were part of a movie.
As an experienced mountain photographer, it’s important for me to make the best use of the natural light in the surroundings. On extremely sunny days, this can be a challenge, as the bright light casts harsh shadows on the couple’s faces. For the first look, we were on the sunlit meadow because we wanted some space and, of course, because of the fantastic panorama. For the rest of the couple’s photos, I preferred to take them in a shaded area with soft, beautiful light. We found a few shady spots where we took more intimate photos. Of course, there were also some posed portraits (for the viewers at home), but overall, there was a lot of movement, humor, and fun. Erwin had a bit of hesitation before the photoshoot, but when I later asked him how he liked it, he said: "It was really fun, and I might even do it again ;-)"
The wedding ceremony took place in the green garden of Gasthof Marschall, with the sun still shining brightly. All the guests were warmly welcomed, and the celebrant Kathrin Steinhuber had prepared a wonderful and humorous speech that was well received by the couple and the guests. The photography was effortless, and I often had to laugh at the funny things Kathrin shared about the couple.
As a photographer in Tyrol, I know many beautiful spots, but this gem on the Georgenberg was new to me. Thank you, Erwin and Katrin, for letting me photograph your beautiful wedding, for welcoming me so warmly, and for showing me a new part of Tyrol. I wish you all the happiness in the world!
